How Important is deity selection as a Rogue/Bard?

I know half elf warrior of innoruuk have in classic faction standings, so I wouldn't take any to necessarily spot on by default

I'm annoyed that Agnostic Dark Elves are threatening to Highkeep guards by default instead of the correct dubious. Considering highkeep was always my fave spot to level and I always had agnostic dark elves its such BS [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

(1) Roleplay reasons
(2) read up on cultural smithing/tailoring for the race you want, the best items in that category are deity-specific and should influence your choice
(3) as a rogue you can faction and bank anywhere using Sneak, so it doesn't matter as much if people hate you or not for practical purposes
