thank u guys all so much. I've started a half elf bard, is that a good choice for a beginner crit? If not my second choice will be a mage, whats a good class for mage that will start somewhere close to common lands?

A bard is probably one of the best classes for you due to the fact that they are highly desired by groups and great at soloing. However, bards are one of the most difficult classes to play... But let us be honest here, it is an MMO from 99; i.e. classes aren't that difficult. Read a few guides on playing a bard and I'm sure you will be fine. I would look specifically at AoE kiting (Area of Effect Kiting, there is a great guide on the wiki) and twisting.

cool, I think i'll stick with a bard. Do they lvl pretty fast? what is the fastest lvl class/race?

warrior/rogue halfling gets the highest positive XP bonus, but requires a group to gain any xp. Halflings receive a 5% xp bonus for any class they play, warriors get a 10% xp bonus and rogues a 9% bonus according to the p99 FAQ.

Bards level relatively fast once you figure out how to swarm-kite, despite their heavy xp penalty.

Necromancers and Mages level quickly if you're in to solo play. Druids can also solo but resists are screwy at the moment which makes it harder for them, they wouldn't typically be able to solo as fast as a nec/mage but make up for it by having a greater group desirability.

Sounds like Bard is the class you like, stay with it.

i also started a human magician, is that a pretty good combo? I started it because I've heard they increase levling pretty fast.

well, I'm just pretty much tryin to see what fits for me. I love casters but they always seem so slow when you start one. Bards look cool to me because I know very little about them. I like the mage because it summons things. I guess I'll just have to keep doin trial and error to find what i truely want to put time into.
