![]() Necromancer! It's one of the most fun and versatile classes, imo. You're one of the best soloers in the game for the majority of 1-60, but you're also great in groups. You have a pet, you can fear kite, you can root rot, you can charm solo. You can go just about anywhere because you have invis, invis versus undead, feign death, and gate to get you out of deep dark places. You can run around killing just about anyone or anything you want for exp, because you pretty much do not care about faction, if you're iksar (and you should be), everyone hates you anyway. You've got nukes, you've got dots, you've got heals, you can replenish other people's mana, and with your lich line you end up just about never running out of mana so you have very little downtime. Plus, you get to turn into a skeleton and you eventually get to have a spectre as a pet!
So yeah, I'm a fan of necros if you can't tell.

![]() There seems to be an overabundance of monks recently (perhaps due to the triple attack addition in the upcoming Chardok 2.0 patch). But really, play what you enjoy and you can find a place for yourself.

![]() It depends on what parameters you are deciding on. Anything pertaining to your own nostalgia og playstyle preferences should likely guide your hand before any advice given in this thread. So if you played a pally on live and just loved it to bits and want to recreate that then boom, easy choice. Or if you really have always liked being a healer then that narrows it down.
However... if I were starting all over and wanted to establish a foothold on the server in terms of getting into a strong financial position and being more free to twink and play alts later on for instance then I would look at the best classes to solo. Those are classically thought to be Enchanter and Shaman with Necromancer and possibly Druid next in line. Of Enchanter and Shaman there is a pretty enormous difference in what kind of outlay you will need to succeed at level 60 as a soloer. By this I mean that a Shaman needs Torpor to really unlock his/her solo potential. Ideally you also want Malo and you will want your epic. Unless you are very lucky you will need to buy at least the spells which is an easy 100.000 plat and if you aren't able to join a raiding guild your epic will also cost upwards of 70-100k. That's a lot of money that you aren't able to generate by soloing because, well, you get it. The Enchanter on the other hand needs very little in terms of gear and expensive spells in order to solo very difficult stuff. As such, out of the two, I would choose the Enchanter as my first class. Remember this is from a purely cost/benefit point of view. If you really, really like the shaman and think enchanters are uninteresting then that should guide your decision. Of the other two (Necro and Druid) I know the least about the Druid but playing a 60 Necromancer as my main I will say that you can definitely solo fairly well at 60, it's just that some of the hardest stuff in the game is cordened off for you and is pretty much ENC/SHM only. You can still solo for profit though and the necro is a great "lone wolf" class. It's underestimated for its potential in groups but as an independent solo class is where it excels. Having access to Feign Death, 93% rez (at a measly ~200pp cost) as well as Harmshield and Levant makes for so many amazingly nice "QoL" things that, combined with the incredibly easy exp gain all the way to 60, makes for a very appealing choice imo.

Beyond that, given the age of the server I think you may need to seek out the more popular leveling areas to group since the server is not packed with people at lower levels. I would look to crushbone soon if you can. Also, don't be afraid to take the initiative. There are almost certainly others, like you, struggling through the low levels solo with basic gear and you may just need to reach out to people in your level range in nearby zones. I have found once I make some of those connections I end up stumbling across people who have similar play schedules as myself.
