Quest Issue: Garath the Trader - Garath's Weapons to Trade

Not sure how it is a contradiction.

The Ancients and other post-awakening revisions occurred in 2002 after Luclin released.

Servers where the Sleeper was awakened before Luclin was released had a rough time for people wanting to get primal-type weapons until the Ancients came long during Luclin.

Firstly I would like to thank everyone at the p99 staff who put in so much effort to make this server possible.

As today's patch looks like it is meant to bring us to the Oct 2001 timeline, I believe the quest below should be activated.

This quest (Alla link, p99 wiki link) was added in October 2001 as evident by the comments on this page:

Garath is in game, but the quest does not work.

What about the Lungi trade; when did it become available?

I'm trying to think of all the cases here. If Garath appears in Oct2001, and somehow the sleeper is still sleeping, the Lungi isn't even available. I added an additional check to ensure a 'post-sleeper' condition for him to discuss Lungi trading.

Does anyone know more about this?

you totally had me asking wtf you were talking about, as i dont remember anything about a trade in for it.
it was added way after velious it seems.

Dug into this Lungi thing, don't know terribly much about it but it appears to have something to do with a sleepers tomb revamp? Magelo has initial entry of 9/26/02.

Shroud is now kinda replaced by the-not-really-anywhere-as-good Lungi of
the Forbidden (woot SMR). Smolder is junk now. Salindrite and SoD no
equivalents but better (sometimes much) found elsewhere. Dainty Gloves,
ROFL. Dwarf Mask > Gnome Mask.

Prismatic much more common than Primal ever was, some *gasp* stuff for Int
and Wis casters and an assortment of other nice enough bits which often
drop 3 and 4 at a time.

On balance since the last revamp Sleeper being awake is no great disaster
unless you really, really wanted a Shroud in which case you should have got
your wannabe-uber arse in gear a whole lot sooner.

It appears as if swapping them with Garath did not occur until April 28, 2004 patch:

- Skill percent-mods now work for Ammo slot items.
- Grand Tunic of the Oracle and the Grand Robe of the
Oracle have had a type 7 augmentation slot added to them.
- Lungi of the Forbidden will display a robe graphic once
again. Monks and Beastlords will be able to swap the robe
in for a leather looking BP with the same stats by visiting
Garath the Trader in East Wastes. You will be able to
swap the items back and forth with Garath for your desired
look. (Lungi? Lungi? What is a Lungi?)

Can you confirm the fists will be 1hb? From the comments on alla, they weren't changed to h2h until some time after Luclin.
