If someone is claiming multiple camps, then kick him the fuck out. Gotta share, can't have 1 person running through an entire zone killing ph's just because he knows the timer. He leaves that camp, then snag it [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] just take screenshots so i don't have to spend an hour trying to get the truth.

Or better yet, politely let the person know that since he has no intention of staying at the camp, and since you(r group) do(es), you'll be taking it over.

I know Hobby. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
I have read the server rules several times, thank you though.

I prefer not to engage in verbal and vicious debate with players in a video game. Especially concerning TMO - I have encountered many of their players and generally enjoy their company. With that said, I would rather move on and let them continue with their monopoly of the zone.

It is not just TMO though, I have seen it done in many other zones with many of the top guilds.

I even had a member from a certain top guild tell me she hated how her guild was literally putting certain camps on lock-down from anyone else. It was ruining not only her own game play, but inadvertently ruining game play for the more casual players.

And in regards to Tiggles, I wasn't trying to indicate that TMO is one of the top guilds, just stating facts. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Either way Drazer, I will be getting a petition and will have to deal with both people.

Necklace of Superiority. They've been camping it since Kunark opened. I was there for some time while they did it, camping first a couple of fighting batons and later a set of crescent armor for my low-level monk I had logged out there. The TMO people were always friendly, helped me out if I asked (or even asked if I needed help) and while someone was clearing the lumpy goo spawns when I arrived, they stopped when I settled down to camp it. If they've been assholes, it wasn't during the couple of days I spent in Dalnir last week.

As it stands, if you are not in the top 5 guilds, poopsocking your way to camps, you have a very slim chance of getting any "nice loot". Not impossible, just very small.

If you keep your eye off of poopsocking and selling your soul to be in the top guilds, you just might actually have fun.

So you're unwilling to use the server rules as they are intended - to prevent people from monopolizing entire zones unless they're willing to devote all kinds of their own resources to it (i.e. one person sitting on each camp or more) - yet you complain you have a very slim change of getting "nice loot"?

You're unwilling to have a conversation with a person who claims to be camping a whole zone because you assume it would be "vicious debate"?

It just seems like you're so soft skinned you can't deal with other people. I've camped entire dungeons before because I knew the PH timers, but if someone came along and took the camp - or asked for it - i'd give it to them unless it was the reason I came - in that case I would confine myself to just that camp. Other players can't read your mind. You have to be willing to talk, or you'll never get "nice loot."

By the way, I have over 20k in assets and don't have a single level 50 character, have never raided, nor have ever been guilded on this server.

You'll get what you put into this game. You're just barely putting anything into it.

On a similar note to Dalnir, in Kaesora I'm fairly certain TR is only camping Xalgoz for HS keys, and the few times that I was in there earlier last week it was just one group, so I'm sure there are plenty of camps open for exp in Kaesora as well as in Dalnir!

If there's 1 guy camping a bunch of named PHers, there's absolutely nothing stopping a mid-level group from showing up at claiming one of those camps. The guy can't be 5 places at the same time. If there's nobody in the camp, the camp is yours.

Do not confuse "Unwilling" with "chooses not to".

I understand what you are saying, but I have a level 50 and I have made well over 20k. I have easily gotten out what I have put in and more. My /rant was in regards to a lower level team wanting to grind out in a dungeon and look for this fabled "nice loot". If he were to do so, he would more than likely have to deal with a jerk who has been monopolizing the zone for several hours and is pissed that someone thinks they have any right at all to anything... ever. Then again, he may not have to deal with anyone. Who knows.

As for the server rules and my chosen reactions; sometimes I find it better to just leave things alone and move on, than causing some huge debate that takes up time from the GMs, who probably have much better things to do. If I have my heart set on something, then I will...
A) Wait my turn
B) Ask them to send me a tell when they finish (if ever)
C) Come back another time

-or in the case of the 1 man farming every spawn-
I will just ask him, if I feel it is worth it.

I am not saying that this particular person on that particular evening would have given me any guff at all had I tried to take a camp, but from my experience with this server and its general population, people are just not nice. Period. Not saying its bad or good, its just the facts. Nothing I can really do about it, other than carry on with my own business and not have to deal with the stress.

I suppose if not wanting to have to deal with uninformed/violent people makes me "soft-skinned", so be it. I would rather enjoy what I am doing and find something else to take up my time, than have to endure the stress of dealing with someone who is more than likely still living in their parents basement.

I am sure the GMs can back me up with their numerous stories about the ridiculous accusations and hours lost from having to deal with idiotic people. Sometimes I start to wonder just how anti-social gaming makes people. I deal with people online as I deal with people in real life....
