i got my guise on Complete, then used it to do quests in Grobb and Oggok so I don't have to use my guise. deception!

also, legacy items need to drop 6 at a time

Its a special limited time legacy item that only exists until May 2020

It allows anyone to be a dark elf whenever they want. It's the only way that a druid Monk Ranger shaman and Paladin can ever have that illusion

Question - after May 2020, say if I still have the mask as a non Rog/Bard, does the effect still work as clickable from my inventory? Or do they eventually make it to where the clicky effect only works if it's equipped?

Guise remains a separate item from the mask that replaces it. So if you have a guise it always is clickable from inventory. Mask actually is clickable from inventory too; the "any slot/can equip" note on the mask means that if you CAN equip it, you can click it from anywhere, even if it isn't currently equipped.

Because of this there's very little reason for a rogue or bard to worry about getting a guise unless they want the illusion asap or want it for the style points, since the mask will function the same way for them forever, regardless.
