I've spent a ludicrous amount of hours farming in Permafrost on blue back when the 50p bricks dropped. Killed countless named, only ever saw the legs. For a meager 4 wisdom this cloak is NOT worth camping specifically for.

Why would you camp something for so long that is pretty crappy? Better off killing something with profit and buying the cloak if you want it that badly... but to each their own I spose'

This is the reason why HGs and Seafury - ies exist and why so many people have enchanter and mage alts, its sick, but its a garanteed 22 hrs camping gems/plat vs a random 40 hrs to get... maybe... nothing.

People laughed at me when I didn't max my charisma on my chanter... now depending on how I self buff I can be well over 200 int or well over 200 cha depending on the circumstances (The non buffed stat is also obviously very high as well).

There are certain items in the game that are priced in a way that doesn't correspond to the time investment involved. For those items it is far better to either farm things with a high plat drop rate or farm an item that has a higher plat:time return. Mammoth hide cloak and Gatorscale Leggings are two such items. Both sell for ~1500p but on average take many hours to acquire via camping when you can earn plat at many other camps much faster.

I think its meant to be that way, some items are meant to be luck and not a matter of camps... or just 'oh hey, i got a Mammoth Cloak' luck while running through for crafted quest drops or a frost goblin wizard heart thing for the staff. Like, bonus. Market. Items.
