Thanks again...

I've installed the game on both my C and D drive (not at same time) with same results.

Both are SSD. I'm looking at the event viewer now.

I also changed my DNS.

use a WiFi analyzer app on your Android and change the wifi channel on your router to something other than 6 (which is the default for 2.4ghz). move about your house to find the channel with the best rating or least amount of competing wifi ssid's. possibly change to "N" based wifi or higher speed rating (b->g->n->ac->ax). after "N" you will start using 5ghz band more.
unless you have satellite or dsl, chances are you are having a local connectivity issue.
if you have internet faster than 150mbps, "N" wifi should be able to handle your network.

Default Update

I'm hardwired and don't use wireless.

Long story short: Delete ALL characters, reinstall, create new character.

I found I could create a new character after a fresh install and it would work (zone successfully) until I logged on with my main character. The main would work ok for a while and then stop being able to zone. If I then tried my new character, it would also have zoning issues. I then tried one of my oldest characters that had always been able to logon and it failed at first zone attempt after this began. Seems the main character contaminated the new characters and my older characters after he was played.

Luckily I was able to pass gear to friend to hold and I got that back. No issues now 13 levels later.
