Capitalism doesn't create wealth and abundance, our productive culture creates wealth and abundance, and it would do so whether our system had more capitalist elements or more socialist ones. This is why our relative standard of living and general economic equality was at its apex in the 1950's which also saw some of the highest tax rates the US has ever had.

There is not and there never has been a purely socialist, communist, or marxist country, just like there has never been a purely capitalist one.

However, in the United States, basic mechanisms of economics like taxation and free market competition are broken. So to answer your question, I'd like to live in literally any other wealthy country besides the US. Germany, Japan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France, Italy, etc etc etc all have dramatically better standards of living than the USA. Better healthcare, more paid time off, greater happiness in pretty much every way anyone has ever come up with to measure happiness, cheaper education, greater life expectancy, cleaner air, shorter commutes, I could go on.

These other countries, such as Germany, actually have more effective free market capitalist competition because they actually have functioning governments to protect the rules and norms of that competition, unlike the US which serves primarily the interests of capitalists and certain corporations.

It's hilarious that you're so indoctrinated by tribal pro-capitalist US media that you think a post outlining some of the benefits of government means I'm a socialist lol. Our current system is not capitalist.

I'll get the vaccine once a couple years have passed and we can confirm that it doesn't have some totally unforeseen devastating long-term side effect. There's a reason vaccines typically take five years at a minimum to go to market. It is literally impossible for anyone to claim this one is totally safe when it hasn't even existed on this planet for a full year yet. People conflate this attitude with anti-vaxxer nutjobs because they have no good counterargument. No, I don't think bill gates is injecting me with microchips, however I am hesitant to just flippantly inject a substance into my body because msnbc told me to. A substance which protects you against a disease that isn't even particularly dangerous. I'll continue wearing a mask in public because I'm unvaccinated out of respect for others, and I'm not a sociopath who wishes death on my political opponents.
You're dumb if you think whatever possible side effect you're going to get from this vaccine is any worse than the nasty shit you are far more likely to get from a coronavirus infection that is widely known to damage blood vessels in some people, potentially causing damage to your brain and other organs, and even possibly (but very unlikely) killing you.

Think of this entire pandemic as two competing phase I, II, & III trials, one for coronavirus and one for its vaccines. Surprise, science has found that inoculation with coronavirus is significantly more dangerous (so far) than inoculation with mRNA vaccine.

Firstly all of the the countries you mentioned have dramaticallly lower populations than the US. We are the 3rd most populous country in the world. As populations increase it becomes increasingly difficult to fashion a system best suited for everybody, yet we are one of the most, if not the most, prosperous countries in history. Why do you think that is? Was it an accident? The systems we have had in place clearly work, which is laid bare by our dominance on a world stage. We didn't lie or cheat or steal to get here, we created a society that the best and brightest of the world wanted to come live in. We've all become fat and happy off that system and that is why it's at risk of being lost; a complete lack of gratitude among the populace.

As for the vaccine, the risk vs reward ratio is completely dependent on your level of risk. If you're young and healthy, no it does not make sense to roll the dice on this vaccine. The vast majority of young healthy people who get covid do not experience any of the detrimental effects you mentioned. If you're 75 and have diabetes, then yes I totally agree you should get the vaccine. My gripe is with people joining a tribe and deciding only one answer or the the other is correct. Currently the vast majority of mainstream media is heavily biased in favor of mindless vaccination, even for kids younger than 12 now. That is socially irresponsible and dangerous.

still think volunteering to run untested (or tested and known lethal) chink-engineered genome (which overlaps with HIV genetics, oh joy.) in your blood is more idiotic than taking the vax. If I had to work a customer service job I would definitely take the vax. speaking as the only person on this board with an education but Lune / mead.

I do however take your point, and since I'm an indoor hairless albino mole person with a hot body from VR and passive income I've had to take on neither viral payload myself [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] but the sun sometimes hurts my eyes.

I come into contact with several dozen people a day while aspiring to be a super spreader like those idiots that spent all last year rioting and burning down cities and national forests.
