edit: and yeah, to reiterate what Phisting said, at least I didn't die to a light blue con mob and blame my "girlfriend" for it!

Good question, I'm not sure they're supposed to since they both have a slow component. I would think that the one with the higher % slow would overright the other. Can somebody (shamana/enchanter) confirm that only one slow effect can be on the mob an that the highest is what sticks? Lol you've found me out Phisting, I die to level 40 mobs on the regular. ![]() The weird thing about cessation stacking with selo's consonant chain, is that clearly both songs are working at once and no song gets entirely overwritten, since you see the mob moving slower (because it's snared) but the mob takes damage from the dot from chords of cessation. Both songs have a slow effect, and selo's consonant chain's is the more powerful one, so presumably it overwrites that of chords of cessation, but it doesn't stop the entire song from working (ie it doesn't overwrite the dot component of it). Maybe this is a bug, I dunno.
edit: as for song of highsun, I found a post from 2001 confirming it as day-only, so it probably only changes in Luclin, unfortunately.

![]() No clue if it's how it works in p99 but on live you have different slots for effects to take place. I believe it's 12 total slots possible. But general idea, is if the same effect is in the same slot, the greater one will get rid of the lower or block the lower.
If they are the same effect but different slot, the one with the higher # takes effect and ignores the other but does not strip or block the buff. On live I know those two songs stack because the slow effect in Selo's Chords of Cessation is slot 6 where Selo's Consonant Chain is 3

![]() On assonant Strane the Slow effect is slot 2, and snare is slot 1 for the version on Live. So there shouldn't be stacking issues on live, baring something else causing it. The slots could very well be different here though. Unfortunatly the history on lucy seems to only go to 2002 so not far back enough to see if it was different.
I did just check and on live all three stack but they should not and will not all take effect for the effects that overlap, only the highest takes effect. So if it's not working how it was in classic should just have to swap some slots around, but IIRC they added more slots at some point in the game, so maybe in kunark it is limited and they did have stacking issues /shrug.

![]() Another issue: Jonthan's Inspiration (and possibly the entire Jonthan's line) works on pets in group, but not on charmed pets. Also, if you target someone and have the song passively cast on them (ie just cast it and keep the song going without ever interrupting them), the next time the buff is applied, it applies on you instead of your target.

![]() Kelin's Lugubrious Lament stops passively casting if the mob goes outside of LOS, which shouldn't happen since the song doesn't require LOS (if the mob stays in LOS it does keep passively casting like bard songs do). This used to work as intended before but has recently (as recently as a few patches ago) become broken.
