Question Regarding Naming Character(s) (After Reading Rules, etc.)

Why delete it? Why not just leave it there until merge?
Unless you're trying to make room for another character.
I wouldn't mess around with deleting things unless you have to.

I think there is more to it than that. I have characters on blue, and when I tried to make characters on green with the same names as on blue I got the message that the names were already in use by someone else. So my blue names were not saved for me to use on green.

So in other words if I delete the character(s) on blue with the same name(s) as the character(s) on green, then the names will still be reserved/held on blue until the merge happens? For example, no one can make character(s) on blue with the same name(s) as my character(s) on green?

That's correct in theory.

I wouldn't depend on it. Something happened to the DB when Green/Teal merged and some people have been complaining about incidents where they can't remake a character after deleting it even though they definitely had the name on green and have that name on blue.
