No one ever came to your house and threatened to imprison you for not getting vaccinated: you always had a choice, and it'd be un-American for you to not.

But apparently the government can imprison me if I kill off a microscopic clump of cells that can't exist on its own outside my body ... you know, like if I rip a zit off my body, only a whole lot smaller. According to the Supremes, the government has a right to send me to prison for doing that.

That is silly to say. While you did have the choice not to vaccinate, there are a lot of people who lost their jobs and couldn't go to the grocery store or restaurants due to not having a vaccine card. That is a pretty good way to kill somebody, take away their income and ability to buy food. That makes the choice to not vaccinate pretty tough.

It is similar to saying the slaves always had a choice to overthrow their masters. You are 100% correct that they always had that choice, but that doesn't mean the choice was the one most people were willing to take, due to the risks involved.
