![]() Many rumors persist about WHY exactly Fellspine hated Hubert to the extent that he did. Some of those rumors have a kernel of truth to them, but are by and large wrong. The events that lead to their falling out are probably best left unsaid. It is, afterall, wrong to speak ill of the dead that you've turned into a belt with an amazing 34% haste rating, 10ac, 4 all stats, 25 hp/mana, and even some resistances.

![]() Better to remember how Hubert lived. There was no challenge he was afraid to take on, not even because he never failed, but because he didn't fear failure. It this aspect of him that is represented by the +4 to wisdom stat on the spiked seahorse hide belt (WTS 23k).

![]() While its true he sometimes failed, and that he didn't fear it, he was usually successful. One time he got into an argument with a Shimmering Sea Spirit. As the argument escalated he knew, of course, that he would badly lose if it came to violence. But he knew that the Shimmering Sea Spirit was oddly prideful of his drumming ability, and so he challenged him to a drumming contest. But the spirit was tricked because Hubert knew that the sea spirit was currently holding a shield of the tsunami, and that he could never have both his drums and shield at once. This cleverness of Hubert is captured in the spiked seahorse hide belt's +4 intelligence stat (WTS 23k).
