However the word "bow" goes both ways in pronounciation for the 2 different but identically spelled words bow and bow [You must be logged in to view images. I don't know what the "mendela effect" is but insofar as I know the spell has always been "Spirit of Wolf," hence the common acronym.

Why not pronounce SoW as sow?

Ahh, there's the entire argument right there, Ithaqua. As a noun, sow is a pig. As a verb, sow is planting seeds. Both pronunciations are correct, acronym or not.

This is why they released the sotw aa ability for druids. No more confusion.

Spirit of Wolf SoW is pronounced SEW because it isn't a female pig.
It's also because the sound of the O in "of" makes the SEW sound not the SOW sound. Hope this doesn't help. | ||

I've always said SoW like sew, but considering this is an acronym that isn't in the game, nothing is right or wrong.
The way the majority of players say "Thule" is way wrong. I cringed badly because recently in another game the word Thule is used for the name of a zone, and the English voice actors butchered the pronunciation but the Japanese ones did it correctly. Hint: If your saying it with one syllable your probably saying it wrong [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Some words do have a correct way. Shire is always pronounced the same way EXCEPT in lord of the rings, but the creator pronounces it that way so you gotta roll with it since he made the place [You must be logged in to view images.
