Yeah but what if you steal an apple every day for 20 years? That's a much bigger monetary loss than a single xbox.

The price of Apples being ridiculous doesn't justify 20 years. It should be more like 200 years mandatory orchard duty. <--- this is an abstract about the value and rarity of apples. Substitute bug loafs where applicable. It's a case where doing the crime is as bad as doing the time.

We should just give apples in /@ church imho. Apple tithe inc. Mormons.

Some sins are worse than others even if they're in the same class....

No one wants to steal bread, anchovies, and peanut butter sandwiches, butt they are good survival food if you're begging. Was. Breads too expensive now.

* Corporate greed is still corporate greed.

* Thieving in urban area's isn't new.

* When people are desperate that do what they must to survive.

* More insurance copes with more in store thefts.

* Organized crime has been around forever and law enforcement can work on this just as they did in the past.

* Smart stores are back to the Covid days and having customers stay outside as the employees get the items they want. Curb shopping.
