Merge into a legacy server and get a new one up and running. Preferably something a bit more "fun". Maybe something like Guildwars or a hybrid pvp/pve server with rotating pvp zones that yield higher exp and a better % chance at loot.

Any new PvP server needs to have teams of some sort. A classic solution would be the Sullon Zek teams, but personally I'm not particular about the exact teams.

I just think there needs to be teams of some sort, because teams channel the neckbeard energy in a fun/competitive way. Without that, you inevitably wind up with Red (ie. with de-leveled epic-wielding fungi-wearing level 5's griefing anyone who tries to join the server, ensuring they never come back).

MrBigz was deleted roughly 8 years ago, and epics have had level requirements ever since.

But he was pretty awesome to fight. Closest thing to an Unrest raid encounter.

I don't think he was deleted, he'd cross swords with me while I was levelling my warrior in SolDungB, which I think may have been more recently than 8 yrs. It was nice having actual PVP on a PVP server! It also saved me having to run back to Neriak to restock on arrows from time to time /cope 😅

I couldn't find my logs for the toon it happened to (as this was years ago), but it wasn't in Unrest, it was in Field of Bone, and I don't think their name was MrBigz.

What's the word for the VZ/TZ pvp ruleset(s)?

A Sullon Zek ruleset server would be awesome. That server was great until Luclin came and ruined travel.

I suggested almost exactly that many moons ago. It's a ruleset that could work. The problem is nobody is steering this ship anymore. And everyone's attention span is so short now nobody wants to read more than 2 sentences. From the sounds of it, Project Quarm is using a similar idea for their PVP anyway. Here, take a gander... it's good toilet reading material. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...d.php?t=410015

I think getting on a raid bosses agro list should flag you for pvp for 1 month.

Just let the top teir people do pvp and actually compete for raid targets, and let the rest of the people group up and get to the top tier safely without top tier people on their twinkled alts and literal psychopaths terrorizing new players.
