Nothing is going to affect leveling like a Fungi. Even on a Druid the passive healing saves so much mana it’s OP.
I would say the root necklace is equally as good for saving mana while charming keeping the other mob parked for free. At least until 56 or so when I switched to engorging roots.

Chebby is firepot bound, I'm actually working on a guide, iirc he has NFP and EFP faction.

One of the problems of firepots is it kinda prevents you enjoying guard camps.
I suppose you could do qeynos or something but yeah...
I'm one of those people who runs to the Firepots regularly because there aren't that many people on Blue available for teleports anymore unfortunately. I generally just invis myself before clicking on the portal and have never died. I presume as an Iksar that Chebby is prob KOS most places already anyways, and likely uses a similar tactic?

I'm also not sure if it's possible to have good EFP and NFP faction simultaneously as an evil character, but perhaps there's a trick I'm unaware of? I initially tried turning in DF belts to make the Freeport Militia like me more, but it made the Paladins and Priests in NFP hate me more. When I tried turning DF belts into the guy in NFP to correct that it made the Freeport Militia hate me more. I generally opt to side with the NFP as an evil player because easy and safe access to a banker near EC tunnel is super convenient.

While farming guards in EFP I just vendor in the sewers since I'm not KOS down there. As an Iksar you may have to turn in 4 bone chips to Xelha in order to gain access to the vendors, but I can't remember the amount off hand.

Also I've seen you in-game before. I've buffed you near the specter cave in Feerrott a couple of times, but I think you were afk [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

As you have to click to interact with the [firepot] altars, you will lose any Invisibility buff you have on.
Wait a sec, I just double checked and this is not the case; you keep your invis.

I believe I do run into some see invis guards in EFP unfortunately, but my toon without faction is sturdy and they haven't killed me. I do get that some have a faction goal for its own sake.

Resist shield on the bard combos well with the mainhand lute if you pull for indoor groups a lot. Sarnak Battle Shield is a good all-arounder, otherwise one of the kunark dragon shields. Can't remember is Skyshrine is on the restricted list for bard "dungeon kiting" but regardless, you already have a few guardian armor pieces, might as well honker down and get the all-important leggings. If nothing else, sapphires drop regularly enough there, so that's some decent compensation for the time/effort.

Flayed Paebala Gloves have resists and high dex, but requires at least a small group to camp/crawl DN. If going that route, definitely bring a melodious truncheon or two and swing like mad when those bastages get towards low HP.

Also update the race/class/stat details for bard and shaman! At the very least their class, because the animated icons aren't showing.

I've never kept the invis, and got killed due to it. Die every time I enter Halas that way for example.

I almost wonder if a keybind is interfering with your invis because I use invis to travel via firepot a couple times a day on average. I had to reinstall P99 recently to install Duxa, and it messed up my keybinds. I couldn't figure out why my invis was breaking non-stop, and then I realized I accidentally had an clicky item key-bound to my auto-run key, and it suddenly made sense. At first I thought I was just having terrible RNG.

I think a patch broke it, in a good way for players, because it ALWAYS dropped invis for YEARS for me. Now it's not dropping it for me either, clicking or pressing U is the same

Gonna look up online...

It wouldn’t surprise me if it did used to be that way. To have a blue character bound at fire pots is pretty rare in 2025. Idk how long ago that even was, but imagine the game has been changed a lot over the years. Lemme know if you need help breaking the EFP guards ! I would prob avoid Hirazen until 44+. The rest are easy peasy, can split them to where you always have a few minutes to med in between, very afk friendly [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Interesting. Guessing the strategy was to kill a bunch of orcs for Knights of Truth faction, and then using Wolf Form to turn in a lot of DF belts to the Freeport Militia? (Which will also make the Priests in NFP hate you, not sure how to fix this without becoming KOS with the Militia or the Evils in EFP). Might want to check your Bard faction too if you haven't already - I've accidentally aggro'd them in NFP before. It's really easy to fix because every mob in Mistmoore grants bard faction.
