I'm not proposing it changes, classic or not. Was just curious. I also dont quite understand how one would perform such a feat anyway. You would be beat on constantly while your pet tries to burn something down before it dies. But I imagine discussing it is against the rules so we'll call it settled.

Well that's the point. SOE did a few things back in the day to encourage grouping and discourage soloing. The issue was that several classes could solo and level faster than groups could. They added some bonuses to grouping (such as a scaling XP bonus depending upon how many were in your group) and penalties (the need to do more than 50% damage to a mob to get most of the XP, or lowering damage done by a DOT per tick on a moving (non-feared) target).
