I'd learn my mothers language but that's incredibly hard to do in the US since there are only half a million people worldwide who speak it and my mother has forgotten a lot of the words, plus some words were replaced with Spanish. It's even under thereat of going extinct in a couple more generations in favor of Tagalog and another dominant language in the area. It's not like I can go to school here and learn it. edit: I can learn Tagalog, and I plan to, but tbh my heart isn't in it as much as it is with learning my moms language.
