![]() I have got these working on my EQemu client, but only seen them in action on the EZ server. I thought planar classic armor was velious textured?

![]() My half elf bard's Twilight set was the best looking set of gear I've ever had, on any MMO. Yes, even with the dildo helm hehe. Velious was such a great expansion!

![]() I forgot about these textures too. Personally, I will always prefer the good old originals. It's what I grew up with, so everything else just feels foreign.

![]() It's possible to modify the client textures so velious textures appear on classic armor. There is a program called S3dspy that lets you extract/import files into the client .s3d files. The classic armors are stored in the file "global_chr.s3d", the velious armors are stored under "global17_amr.s3d" through "global23_amr.s3d". The textures are .bmps with indexed palettes.
I'm playing around with this a little bit right now. If I'm successful, I'll see if I can post a guide on the procedure.

![]() I just like these textures because it adds more variety to the original models. I love the classic eq models.
some of the helms are questionable lol

![]() When Velious is released many moons from now I believe you can modify your eqclient.ini file with this info:
AllLuclinPcModelsOff=FALSE LoadVeliousArmorsWithLuclin=TRUE LoadArmor17=TRUE LoadArmor18=TRUE LoadArmor19=TRUE LoadArmor20=TRUE LoadArmor21=TRUE LoadArmor22=TRUE LoadArmor23=TRUE

![]() Ok looks like this worked. I'm attaching a .bat file to help with renaming.
1) Backup your "global_chr.s3d" file 2) Download S3dspy from here 3) Download the .bat file attached to this post 4) Create a temporary folder anywhere (your desktop), call it "vel2cls" 4) Run S3dspy, set your everquest folder in the program. 5) On the left side, select the file "global20_amr.s3d" 6) On the right side, select all the .bmp files 7) Click "extract" 8) Repeat steps 5-7 for the files "global21_amr.s3d" to "global23_amr.s3d" 9) The textures were dumped to your everquest folder, go there and set your windows explorer view to "details" and sort by date modified descending. This will place your most recently modified files at the top. 10) Select all the recently created .bmp files, there should be about 911 of them. 11) Move all the .bmp files to your temp "vel2cls" folder (Ctrl+X, Ctrl+V) 12) Extract the attached .bat file into the temp folder 13) Run the "vel2cls.bat" bat file 14) Switch back to S3dspy, select the file "global_chr.s3d" on the left 15) Click "Add", select all the bmps in your temp "vel2cls" folder 16) You will get a confirmation prompt to ovewrite each existing bmp file, hold down your Y key until the prompts all go away 17) Your done! All leather, mail, plate, and monk outfits now have velious textures. If you want to revert back simply rename your existing "global_chr.s3d" file and restore your backup.
