When I think of Gothic Circle I think of Finawin. It's a poor way to look at them I'm sure, and at one point I was considering joining the guild. But once I realized that the person who said "gtfo" to my first post was in that guild, I kinda wrote them off as immature 14 year olds.

I am sure GC has plenty of decent people. Despite him giving them a bad image, It would be wrong to write off the whole guild because of one bad apple.

Instead of counting on people being man enough to ignore these comments, how about you just stop using them in the first place? Do you have a clear inability to construct a sentence or engage in conversation without referring to people as: gay, fags, retarded, retards, racial or sexual slurs? That is all we are asking. There is no need of it. This is the only requirement I have made of you and you continuously fight it and continuously dig yourself a deeper and deeper hole.

There is no use to this language. It offers nothing to conversation and offers nothing to the topic other than making the forums slightly offensive to some users and some potential users. Is it really that hard to just refrain from using those terms? It is really so tough to just not be a jackass?

Seriously Finawin you have to be the dumbest person I have ever had to try and carry a conversation with. You try and act all high and mighty like you are the most ethical and educated person to grace this earth's surface with your presence. Seriously man it is time to grow up and quit "sticking it to the man." You aren't sticking anything to anybody; you are just making yourself look more stupid than you already did.

Very true and somewhat part of the downfall of the EQ (Live) community. I can recall spending a few hours surfing through the various Fan Communities researching, from EQ Traders, to all the various class sites and of course Everlore and Allakhazam's.

On Topic:

Yesterday and part of last night was the first time I saw a lot of trash talking, though I don't typically object to people bantering back and forth it was reminiscent of EQ Live Chat.

I was just telling a friend who came over to check out the EMU Sunday, that the conversation in /ooc has been relatively game related and he and I were enjoying seeing auctions and commenting on people reflecting on elements of the game.

Last night was a different story.

With so many other good guilds you have to weed them out somehow. If their most visible member is an ass, you don't think twice about disregarding them.

The language doesn't bother me. It's the people having arguments and clogging up the window. Can OOC be turned off? Can't really remember much about the interface since I haven't played in 7 years.
