The only thing that would be better than doubleclass ranger/ranger would be if you got the hybrid xp penalty applied twice.

Necro and druid.

A good necro knows not to max int, so you don't have to worry too much about stat overlap. Reliable long-duration non-dot low-mana snare solves a lot of necro soloing issues. Regen complements Lich series well, as does SLN and its higher variants. Buffs and heals for the pet let it tank things you can't otherwise fear-kite. Animals and Undead are both trivially easy to solo thanks to low-mana fears and charms for both. Druid roots are available early (compared to the 34 necro root) and are more reliable until 49; in my experience they are superior past that.

Charm-killing for druids has always had one major weakness: an inability to escape when the shit hits the fan. FD solves that. Druids also lack IVU. Combine FD+CoS with ports and SoW and you have the ultimate travel class. Go anywhere, anytime, don't give a fuck. Harmshield + FD + evac = groups never have to fear wipes.

You have mezzes, charms, snares, roots, FD, invis and IVU, ports, sow, pet haste (for undead or animals), health and mana regen, heals, nukes, dots, AoEs (both pbaoe and targeted), and all of this stuff synergizes into a class that can solo far more than any melee-based class combo ever could. I spent a lot of time playing both classes and I always felt like whatever the ncro lacked the druid did well, and whatever the druid lacked the necro did well. They complement each other and should never be allowed to join forces.

The only superior combo I can think of is shaman + mage but in the specific circumstance where you're trying to solo high-level group (or raid-level) content. You sacrifice the amazing utility of necro/druid for the ability to kill otherwise unkillable mobs in long, drawn-out wars of attrition. I wouldn't want to have to hop around Norrath without ports and the combo of IVU and invis.

Xadion: What is wrong with warriornecromancer? Spell aggro, lifetaps, lifetap dots, free pet damage, fearkite potential. And it's not like SK already is that. SK is like a shitty warrior and a shitty necro combined, not the best of each combined.

Two for enchantershaman already. Powerful for sure, but it would suck maximizing that class. Nonstop buffing and debuffing and canni. It'd be like playing a bard.

Whats the range on the wiz pbaoes? Also, I forgot that bard+caster means casting on the move. I still don't like bard+caster though, since you can't be twisting and casting at the same time, or twisting and medding at the same time.

What about shaman and ranger?

I would think it'd be the best solo / quester possible. Track, snare, slow, regen, ds, heals, decent tank ability and solid dps.

I'd also like monk/Druid. You'd lose slow, but ports, fd, better ds and still can track.

Meh.

Shamrang would be a stronger than anything that exists right now... but not by a whole lot. The ONLY perk the ranger brings to sham that another melee wouldn't do better is track.

Monk/druid would be only about as potent as a shaman is right now by itself. Sure you have dps and some buffs, but you've got no mana regen, no real CC, no haste, no slow. You'd still only be wearing leather-ish armor, you miss out on melee while casting and vice versa, etc.

Eh. You're basically just a rogue with a necro pet, or a necro who gets melee damage but doesn't get to med at all.

I'd go magenecro or bardrogue instead.
