Shaman power level?

Maybe druid pl is better at lower level, but it is still doable with a Shammy. Buff the melee char to max and once the mob has passed 50% hp, send in pet to kill it. For the shammy pl to be effective (fast killing), it still requires the lowbie to get some decent dps by itself.

I can PL pretty well from 0-20 on my necro, first kill is instant lv 4-5 depending on xp penalty.

So does anyone have an actual way they pwr level? I see dots/root/heals/haste, i just dont see how this is better than either monks or druids. and if there not melee how do they pwr level them at all since haste will not help them. Thanks for any advise you have!

I've seen the following method:

Shaman: Fully buff yourself with all the HP and Regen buffs you have. Root a mob, preferably one that will give mega xp to your counterpart, but will never resist your root. Slow the mob.

Power levelee: Get hasted, augmented, whatever, and do 51% of the damage to the mob. Once that is done, the shaman will nuke it down and get you full XP.

I don't know how well that works for non-DPS classes, but it works great for Monks and Rogues.

The shaman powerlevel is more for higher levels, especially melees. It's more an OOG duo really - buff some melee to hell, slow, maybe tank, and hopefully the dude you're PLing gets a little more than half the damage and you get a little less.

I traded PLs with another shaman earlier - he PLed my 59 monk, and I PLed his 51 warrior. It worked wonderfully!

Basically a shaman is identical to a druid except that they use potions for damage shields and have higher higher ac/hp and regeneration with cannibalize/torpor.

Necro PL 1-35 is insanely fast (and works with any class)

Druid and Monk PL are great for melees once you get to 35+, though druid starts to level out and a geared monk starts to be better.

its funny, i never thought about a shaman using DS pots :P that would make shaman PL's pretty sweet for low levels, except for that fact that there seem to be more druids around with all their spells and willing to PL, and DS pots do add a bit to the price. i'd be interesting to see what zones a 60 shaman will good gear and spells could tank/DS PL vs a 60 druid. i know i haven't PL'd at 60 at all, so i'm not sure what i could do excatly, but i'm pretty sure i could tank CoM, at least i'd like to try some time
