The main purpose was to get people talking and possibly ranting about bad stuff similar to this happening to them.

My friend who was playing back in the Kunark Era was involved in a guild raid on Kedge Keep. They almost got to Phiny when a smaller group overpulled and caught the back end of the raid. All the casters who could put up water breathing were killed and everyone's water breathing ended up getting stripped. Worst corpse run ever. I'm sure if I asked, he might have the screen shot of the 30+ bodies in one corridor of the ones that couldn't make it out.
