Just like to add that I'm also getting this awful lag only in permafrost. It does seem to be something related to the client not sending data up to the server or the server not receiving it, as mobs were able to hit me real time with no lag and I could see them moving normally (not clipping into walls or anything), but I could not take any actions (cast spells, open doors, etc) without a bad delay. Only 10 people in the zone; I'm on Comcast in Chicagoland.

Lag in permafrost is almost unbearable. Seems like it spikes at times, very often. Many members of my guild were also noticing the lag. Had less than 18people in zone.

I'll check on the scripts there tonight and see if there are any errors. Did you notice anything unusual with any doors or gates?

No the lag is permafrost is just general lag. At time passes your ping goes up. You can move around just fine but doing anything like opening a door, tracking, /who all, all take a long time to do.

Doors took forever to open, as well as the gates. Spells took forever to cast. Tells and /who also took a while.

This lag seems to get worse the longer the client is connected, and seems to vary on different computers. The lag affects casting, doors/gates, emotes, /who, and surely various other things.

Example:
Computer1 stays in perma for 20minutes before the lag makes the game unplayable/dangerous.

Computer2(laptop) stays in perma for an hour before the lag makes the game unplayable/dangerous.

Logging out then back in usually fixes this problem for me, but only temporarily.

Possible reasons? Not sure, but i'm thinking mobs stuck inside walls or underworld.... or the client losing packets and requesting the ones it lost (unsuccessfully) until it is requesting so much back data that it can't keep up with the current data.... and things explode? *shrug*

Is there any command to see packet loss / data in (kb) / data out (kb) ?

I experienced the same issues. Took 1-2 minutes to cast. Memorizing spells took forever as well as opening gates. Unplayable really.

I can confirm that I experience the same lag while in the zone. It is QUITE unplayable, like mentioned above, spells take massive amounts of time to cast (like a 1 or 2 minute delay) Only have ever had this issue with Permafrost, and only for the past 8 or 9 days.

Well, I hung out there for a while earlier...my ping went down, my #commands were working fine & The doors swung just fine so it's something else. Lets kill the usual suspects
