1) Actually, Alarti was briefly in BDA before his TMO days.

2) yes, that's a post from our private forums taken out of context. No one had been banned for boxing but it was a PSA to just remind our members that we expect everyone to be clean or face immediate removal

3) people left to FE or TMO because they wanted DKP and/or were persuaded by Sloan's propaganda, or they just wanted the path of least resistance. If someone wants to log in at 3am to FTE spar over mobs then have fun in FE or TMO. It's not really the BDA way.
