yeall also forget that PoG drops thurg level armor that needs no gems... And PoG is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bbbbiiiiiigggggg that any guild locking it down will do nothing but lock it down.

on server up, take 2 or 3 decently equipped groups into PoG and you can kill 2 zone in mini bosses within 10 min for a 100% leg and arm drop, then kill all sylvians and the tree boss in 45ish min and get BP aside from any random drops... So 1hr and you got stuff while everyone rushes around killing woushi and stuff etc...

and only blue giants drop plate etc aside from plate cycle in kael

Thurg will be completely overcamped for a good long time. I am absolutely sure arena/bank etc will be put on lock down as much as possible, by everyone. Also plate house. Go to growth and get some decent armor with 1/2 the headache. Also cash drops there are fantastic. I remember living there on live in a small group (protectors were broke) and it was a good time, without the stupidity that is kael.

That being said i'm sure POG will have some "accidental" training going on at some points in time. But it is really a great multi camp zone if people are not jerks to each other.

I hope I get to see PoG 1.0. I didn't get to in live and only ever went to PoG 2.0 with a druid alt to forage tradeskill goodies...

AoW didnt ever die until luclin was released right? or was that the BOC drop itself

Avatar of War was killed in July 2001 before Luclin. However, Kael giants were also charmable to great effect, which may or may not occur on this server.

Blade of Carnage originally had no proc.

As of January 18, 2002, Tigole was joking that he would turn in the BoC to Mort.

Currently my the sword resides in my fletching kit along with a Reaver from the Statue of RZ and a Blade of Carnage from the AoW, all eagerly awaiting my next trip to Thurgadin where they will meet their final destination: Tha Hands of Mort.

The loot was nice -- a ring for Rathji, legs for Siak and Kyntaro and the newly upgraded Blade of Carnage to Bzul and Falis (well one of those was from my bank account). Hahaha by the way, I read that some of you retards on other servers sold your BoC's for Peridot money. Rofl -- GG.

I can see them trying, they easily have ALL of Kunark accounted for and yet they are still taking applicants. I can see this as one of their objectives.
Velious is far more demanding than Kunark.

Also FE has made a great effort to break TMO's grasp over the raiding scene. Just check out their website (no, don't turn this into another RNF thread).

2 year old 32k hp content is not velious. FTE will not be an applicable sniping maneuver in velious. TMO isn't worried about FE in VP and definitely not in Velious. Your argument is invalid. However, the overall reach is valid. Velious is not Kunark there are many many more raid opportunities and we will be going for Dragon/Giant armor and skipping Thurg altogether. Other than what drops on Vindi/Statue raids or maybe initial tank/cleric gearing.
To think we will be farming crushed gems is asinine. You need to worry about those quadding druids and wizards in CS though. They will control the market!

Alarti, you sound a lot like those IB/TR people you ran off the server a while ago.

Anyways, to bring it back to the OP: Metal's answer is pretty much spot on. It doesn't help speculating now.

For the tinfoil hat people, I doubt TMO will lock down Thurg armor on their mains. They'll most likely be KoS to Thurg for either Giant or Skyshrine faction. However, their other L60 alts are another story. Also, EToV, Kael, and WToV are large enough to host multiple groups for their respective armors, even more than exist now for Kunark armor, and TMO doesn't keep all the Kunark armor camps on lock. Plus, they'll have enough to do grinding faction for their own armor turn-ins, collecting gems and the armor, as well as doing the myriad of quests for non-armor item upgrades. There's lots to do in Velious for everyone 35+. Please remove the tinfoil hats and go back to your regularly scheduled grinding.
