You love the BF3 expansions, you love pandas in WoW... you're quite the jigsaw puzzle Diggles...

There were better race choices than pandas to do kung fu with...

Molten is ok.. however it felt like alot of nostalgic quests were very buggy, and it kind of ruined the experience for me. Where it did shine for me, however, was the pvp. They had two pvp servers and it was very easy to log on and jump into the action.. alot of fun. Thats my pvp time wasting emu. I would also like to say that there is donor rewards, which is of course retarded and probably illegal.

Firesquare is a good emulator, even though theyre coding for cataclysm now.

I played wow live a month or so ago.. quit after a week. I leveled 6 toons to 50-60 and the pandas and pandaria are just. terrible.

i just cant get into going thru all the xpacs and up to 90. plus, im cheap and i hate paying monthlys (it makes me feel like i have to play and it becomes a chore)

Im actually having a decent time on ED, rocking a lvl 10 druid and loving that its (close to) vanilla.

Closest to live-like vanilla wow you'll find. Not sure what the pop is like there any more, it didn't pull numbers like Molten due to classic 1x rates and no donor rewards. But the owner/dev is awesome and the server was always stable.

Scriptcraft was fun while it lasted. Not quite as accurate in terms of scripting, but the pop was 1k+ for awhile. Tons of BG's all day + world PVP (AQ gate opening anyone?).

But then the owner turned out to be a money-grubbing bipolar asshat that shut it down, started it back up after taking a ton of donations, then shut it down again.

No others were worth playing on imo.

thats so lame. I had always wondered if stuff like that happened I guess I have my answer.

I realized while playing ED the other day that the pop. is actually pretty damn good - looks to be 300-400+ online at all times, more during peak, which is plenty for me.

From what i've been told they've also made significant progress in terms of having everything fixed up to vanilla wow levels. I'm pretty happy with ED atm. I may check out the others to take a look at the populations.

If anyone wants to join me (im lookin at you diggles!) im lvl 10 tauren druid, i can duo with any class and WRECK shit (i had a 60 druid, a 60 rogue, and a 60 fury - > prot spec warrior (fury till 60, then prot), im a pro at healing and will be spec'ing resto. Know hwo to play the class really well and IMO druids > priests in terms of... well... probably everything, except maybe spell dmg vs shadow priests.

Would be awesome to play with some p99'ers, since i know yall are gonna have skill (diggles!). IGN is gotheals (i think)

Well I'd hope so. Any vanilla emu players will laugh in your face if you attempt to play anything but heals as druid. Though feral tank is great for 5-mans and flag carry.

As much fun as I had on scriptcraft, I can't bring myself to invest time in vanilla wow again after that server got bombed twice. Lost an MC/BWL geared druid the first server wipe. and yeah, resto druids are fucking godly in vanilla wow. IMO a well played resto druid can beat any class in pvp, period, and are PvE gods. They do everything - tank like a warrior (almost), dps like a rogue, and heal as well or better than a priest. Not only that, but in PvP they have an essentially endless pool of health. I was one of the best PvP rogues on my server during vanilla wow, rocking combat daggers spec (anyone who has seen this in action knows the dps in vanilla wow was absolutely insane, no other rogue spec even came closes... the white dmg spam alone would drop everything but a prot spec warrior), and druids were next to impossible to kill. They could take me out without even breaking a sweat (unless they were getting ganked in the field. Pretty much every class was unable to defend against a surprise attack in world pvp, they'd be dead before the stun lock wore off)
