Game Mechanics: Fungi Tunic =Slow run speed

So since this is a thread about the Fungi I figured I'd just ask here

Fungi had the Magic Item attribute removed, will/does this have any notable repercussions? I understand the Magic attribute on weapons, but never did find out what the deal was on armor.
