They're just willing to with train other guilds, stall/kite, dupe plat, exploit bugs etc etc (read CHEAT) to get it.

So you could have all the geared out people "you hate" in your own guild to secure an advantage?

What does that make you? The same as them?

Yeah, it does.

Every single one of you that I see beating on your chests is just as bad as them with the pixel lust. They're just willing to go into work with 3 hours of sleep (read try harder) to get it. Is that sick? To me, yes. However, that's the same intention just with more effort put into it.

did you collect your money from heazels or whoever it was in EC forum paying plat for stuff like this? LOL
I only do this out of love for P99 and maybe a tiny bit of resentment towards TMO

But mostly love!

I still don't understand why a guide or mod doesn't set up a weekly public raid with strictly enforced rules.
Because the community can do this themselves. GM are not raid organizers. Anyone can setup a time and target they want to raid. Make it open to public. If you get enough to attempt it you can.

Now if the mob isn't up that happens, you will have to try again. This is why it is a good idea to have a list of several mobs to attempt so you have a some fallback options if your primary target isn't up.

If your list is deep enough I am sure you will find something to do to benefit someone participating. The more people benefiting from these, the more participation you get. The more participation you get the more you can do. Just keep a robust list of what people need and just start checking them off, just like many guilds do.

Just because someone in the community hasn't stepped up to do it, (Probably because most of these people are already leading their own guilds or participating in guilds that already do it), does not mean no one can. If the top end guilds do follow a community standard of not jumping a prepping raid, not hording the same mob for multiple spawns in a row unless uncontested, validating and reporting kills to keep such a system in place. then I don't see why a Public Option can't succeed as well.
