![]() Do you *have* to update your wineskin?
On Ubuntu, I use a virtual drive with my P99 folder. If I update wine, I just move the pointer for P99 back to the virtual drive for P99 again. You could also save your P99 folder to a different location (eg: USB), remove your wineskin, and reinstall (update to newest wineskin) and then move P99 back within your wineskin.

![]() Tried a few different engines now, all with the same problem. WS9WineCX12.1.2 and a few other recent ones, and some older ones.
Error log from WineSkin looks like: err:winedbg:dbg_handle_debug_event 0008:0009: not a registered process or thread (perhaps a 16 bit one ?) err:winedbg:dbg_handle_debug_event 0008:0009: not a registered process or thread (perhaps a 16 bit one ?) err:winedbg:dbg_handle_debug_event 0008:0009: not a registered process or thread (perhaps a 16 bit one ?) err:winedbg:dbg_handle_debug_event 0008:0009: not a registered process or thread (perhaps a 16 bit one ?) A million times.

![]() I understand most people want a wrapper to emulate Windows, but honestly, I have Bootcamped a separate SSD (swapped out the DVD drive for it - it's a fairly simple process), and am running "native" installs of both Windows 7 and OSX. As a gamer who also loves Macbook Pros, it's the only option IMO. Solves all the issues you guys are having here, and you get the best performance the machine is capable of as there is no overhead.
You can also just partition the default drive and Bootcamp the partition (Mac's Disk Drive utility is great and has no trouble with this).

![]() Quote:
This is naturally the ideal option if you aren't running one of the skinnier sized SSDs, but most models are shipping with SSDs and the most popular capacity is 128-256GB. Pile on your regular Mac applications, personal storage (photos, video, music), and the idea of devoting 60GB+ to Windows for a game installation becomes impossible to embrace. I'm of course talking about default configuration machines, and you aren't running the default configuration. Many people aren't aware that you can retrofit a second drive in place of the superdrive in the standard Pro models. This of course, isn't even possible with the Air and Retina models, but I am quite positive that any MacBook model 2009+ can run this game.

![]() Anyone have an issue with models not showing up?
Edit: Nevermind, I swapped to the WS9WineCX12.1.2 engine and everything seems to work!

![]() Hi, trying to get this installed. I'm following the directions on the guide. I have Titanium downloaded, and wine in my apps folder. Where do I get the installation for eq emu? I think that was step 5 on the guide, and that is where I am stuck.

![]() I think that, with 20 pages of updates, we're going to need to have an updated guide.

![]() This used to work fine for me but then I updated to OSX 10.8.4 and now it won't even open unless I do a test run which messes things up.
