Looks like mash buttons and win Lion King MMO.

Definitely won't be *anything* like original EQ.

"There are also no levels or in this game, although your character does still progress"

"Combat will consist of four skills and four weapon moves at a time."

You know, they think they touched on the key points... But Did they really? I mean sure I liked a lot of what I heard, the Voxel based graphics(smashing everything) cool, I am eating my own words by saying this, but SOEMOTE "MIGHT"(keyword might) not suck here actually, AND I guess its cool being able to build walls and keeps, the whole minecraft thing "might" be good(or it might ruin the game). I enjoy the risk they're taking there... However...

Gameplay pacing... Is there any breaks between combat like Everquest 1? What about solo content Versus Group content. I honestly find nothing more loathsome and boring about playing alone in a MMO, Whats the point? I RARELY EVER had to do that ever in Everquest. In fact it was built on playing with others, but is Everquest Next built on that? Or tedious hours of gathering and slaying "this or that" alone.

I'm not sold, and it doesn't sound like many of you are either. Also the combat was a mess, Too much smoke in the screen, with silly red circles telling where attacks are going to be. That's just lazy development.

I'm still going to have hope. I can get over the cartoony graphics if they don't go too overboard with things like huge question marks over NPC's heads and such. The lore and questing/progression system will really determine how I feel, and of course, they talked nothing of it. If nothing else, I was disappointed with today's presentation, not necessarily the game itself.

Nope, I'm pretty enthusiastic about it myself. We're the minority here I guess, in that we don't just want a reskinned EQ1.

Oh It "has" potential. But its a matter of whether it lives up to it or not. But I think its has to be said that no evidence was given to it living up to the values of Everquest One.

One could even draw conclusions to say that they still view those "values" as weaknesses(having to travel places manually, or a emphasis on group based combat.)
