It's unfortunate what happened to you OP, and as shitty as some people are being in this thread, they're not wrong. You broke a rule, and received the punishment, regardless of how unfair you may think the rule is. You're right that it doesn't really seem to hurt anything, and you may think the rule is stupid, but it's still the rule, and the 30-day ban was 100% justified.

The perma-ban, as I understand it, is a result of you offending the powers that be on this server. Once again, like it or not, it is their server, and they can do whatever the fuck they want. Nobody here pays to play, so we're all just guests on their private server. They have absolutely zero obligation to customer service, because we are not their customers. Based on that, we're all living in a glass house, and after your 30-day ban, you started throwing stones.

Again, it sucks that you're in the position you're in, but there was nothing unique or shady about your bans. Rule broken; punishment enforced.

Hope you find your way back on a new toon someday!

Yeah it is kind of unfortunate. For their servers players though most of all. It doesn't really bother me being forced to spend my free time on a different game. I'm actually kinda thankful the GMs forced me to get into something else. This was getting kind of boring anyway.

If I've accomplished anything with this thread with all the GMs reading it, maybe they'll think twice when it comes to another player ready to get a bullshit ban and they realize if they keep this shit up, while they're in power and can do whatever they want, people after a while are going to see there's much better games out there and don't have to put up with their bullshit [You must be logged in to view images. Bro the level of your cognitive dissonance here is mind-blowing. I'ma hit you with an effortpost:

The server's players aren't losing out on anything from your being banned. The players here have all agreed to abide by a set of rules with a set of consequences. The whole reason we agree to that is to KEEP OUT players that don't want to play fair and follow those rules, ie. you. You clearly think you did nothing wrong by deliberately breaking the 2-boxing rule, because it was "just to trade items". OK, well if we make an exception for 2-boxers to "just trade items", why not allow them to "just cast buffs"? Or to "just EC mule"? To "just pull mobs for the 1st account to solo"? The line is drawn at "controlling 2 characters at once, for any reason", which you knew because you read and agreed to the rules when you started playing here. As cliché as the slippery slope argument is, it really does apply. From your sense of entitlement, I assume you are a millennial and a bit young to have been around to witness multiboxers on live being a major factor in the death of what EQ used to be.

You are OBVIOUSLY bothered about being "forced" to spend your time on a different game, because you've spent the last several weeks here trying to defend the idea you did nothing wrong and crying that you can no longer play your account. Don't try to pretend like it ain't no thing to you, because you're fooling nobody. If you didn't care you wouldn't have posted, and kept posting.

If you want to reform yourself and follow the rules, it would be awesome if you and your gf rolled new accounts and stayed around, I love to see more people playing here. Just use the loss of your old account as a lesson and move on. Rules mean nothing without consequences for breaking them, and I am glad the consequences are enacted on this server cause the alternative is anarchy.

That's my point as to why the server is taking a hit because of GMs behavior. You like seeing more players on the server. So does everyone. So do I. When I see players getting perma banned for posting on the forums, while not being a huge deal, it at leasy is a tiny loss of player base. Its stupid not to ackowledge that and try to use your "cognitive whater" trying to sound cool saying whatever.

I know I for one and many others don't want to see perma bans being thrown around for shit talking on the game's forums. If you can't use the forums to rant and flame and talk shit, what fucking good are they? That's what happened. I got perma banned for that and its bullshit and the server now has two less players on it because of that. Don't try to make this sound like a good thing for the servers health because it isn't no matter what way you look at it. I did nothing wrong to anyone. didn't get any kind of advantage or take advantage of anyone. Now theres two less players on the server. simple.

Again, this has to be the 20th time I've said this in this very thread.. I know I did something wrong. As much of an asshole as I may sound posting in the "rants and flames" section of this board, I understand. I'm not an idiot. While in game I'm actually productive.

I put in effort to get groups going and going well. I help other players. I give back to newer players most of the gear I was donated by old players while I was noob again. I also think I'm a decent player. I've been playing mmos, namely this, since I was 12. Again I know I broke a rule and should have bene banned for it. What I disagree with is getting perma banned after my ban because a GM didn't like how I talked to him. If you agree with that too, you're an asshat.

Also, the rules for getting perma banned for talking to GMs certain way should be the same for every GM. Some GMs shouldn't take offense to how you talk about being banned and then otehrs cry and ban you if you say a bad word in a fucking post. it should be the same, so the poster knows what he can and cannot say. This is Naziism and a certain GM who banned me has a massive epeen and is too used to people talking to him like hes a king and cries when you don't. My perma ban is proof of that.

Quote:
From your sense of entitlement, .. blah
I'm entitled because I'm disputing a perma ban.. I give up. Also I've played on two emulators of past MMOs and the biggest problems with both of them was cheating and dual boxing I even helped develop one of them and I saw what multiboxing really does to older games, any game really. What I did wasn't that bad but yeah I should've gotten some kind of suspension. I also understand, again, that I should have been banned 30 days for it and I'm not disputing that. I'm disputing getting perma banned for a post on a forum. Also

Just because I'm bored and posting on here still doesn't mean I'm bothered by playing a newer better game. I'm happy because EQ is still addictive and I was trapped lol I was spending time on this when theres a lot of new shit out now that I've been wanting to try now I am trying them. I spend literally 5 minutes replying to this thread because its kinda idk not boring I guess. sometimes its fun bitching on a forum. Especially one where the mods of it get their panties in a bunch when you talk to them with swear words lmao.
