I think you're misunderstanding the specifics of the political system that I am comparing are similar.

Like im not saying that the news is the same as the dollar bills you spend.

You dont go to the grocery store and give them 10 news's for bread in any country.

However in communist ones, you broadcast the non judicial trials on TV during prime time on all news channels.
