Because they gentrified a city and evicted all the minorities so they could make 170k a year and get free 5 star lunches at work and they feel bad so they campaign to help on social media but keep buying crypto and custom VW busses, instead of of doing anything to make up for kicking a family who lived there for 20 years out of their now 2 million dollar home.

The other weird that is that charity has always existed, and these rich socialists who say they are pushing it out of the goodness of their heart, I never hear about them making huge donations to charity or to the less fortunate. Granted, there are a lot of charities that are very sketchy, but at least with a charity you can do your research first and if you do, you can know EXACTLY where your money is going. Rather than trust the government, which is as much or more notorious for mismanaging money than even the worst charities, to spend it how you want
“What if they are doing it and you just aren’t hearing about it?” Fair enough. But donating to charity brings a LOT of good public PR. I have a lot of respect for anyone who does it anonymously, but I feel that’s probably not close to the majority. Look at Bill Gates, who has given more to charity than just about anyone in the US. He wants everyone to know it. That’s why I never bought into the silly “Bill gates wants to do genocide with vaccines” conspiracy, all based on a single sentence Bill gates said in a Ted talk where he included vaccines in a topic of population control (I’ve watched the clip a dozen times and while it can’t be completely explained by me, it doesn’t seem to be Bill announcing some future genocide plan). The real reality is Bill Gates has always wanted to “Save the World”, and be known as the guy who Saved the World. He just tries to do it his way. And there’s nothing wrong with that idea
