People said the same thing about ever seeing Velious. About ever actually seeing a from scratch progression server like Green. I think it will eventually happen, but could be years from now whenever the server owners feel like doing it

When was the last time the devs actually spoke of a sever merge? If it's actually been years I'm just going to afk again and save myself the annoyance of waiting around cause it's probably never happening.

Im hoping we see something sometime late summer. Aint happening anytime before end of July, to allow the new TLPs to get their traction. As im sure theyre still under an agreement to not release anything that would directly compete with EQLive

Been a long while since i posted on these forums.

But this is the only thing i'm interested in. The second they start a new server, Me and my crew are all in. Would love to hear anything at all from the people running the game. Because if there was no intention of ever starting a new server, that's good info to know. Friends would love to play, but they want to play from the start and don't want to roll characters only to start over in the next few months to half a year. but there's no info on anything. just assumptions from a wide range of people here.. Any info would be appreciated.

We don't have any info on timing. We do have statements from Nilbog about certain recent changes (such as some mobs not existing past a certain time) being applicable to "future iterations of the server".

They have also been making patch changes that would've been made at earlier points in the timeline.

All of this would indicate that there will be a new server eventually. We just don't know when. If I had to bet, I would say close to end of this year if we're lucky.

No kidding, that's literally what I said in my post haha.

They're working towards doing one eventually but they don't know when for sure yet, which is why they haven't released a date. I would think it's probably late this year early next year.
