was trying to find the story on vinwiki of the guy talking about how much money he made racing a rental legally at tracks in cities he was in due to work, was a literal money cheat because i forget the term for the type of racing but its more about consistency than being the fastest / quickest, like if you go too fast you get disqualified for going over your target

and he'd rent the same model from hertz everytime and use his kit and nail the exact time every run and just take dude's money.

ended up getting a national hertz ban when people started writing articles about him

Oh my Goodness I am having so much fun driving my Dodge Charger rental around. Trying to come up with excuses to go places

Especially at night when our endless crazy traffic dies down somewhat and she has more room to gallop. I’m like “excuse me I’ll just….get around you here”. “Passing on your left”. I feel like people are more likely to get behind me at lights because they know I’m gonna go fast. I feel like Ricky Bobby “If you ain’t first yer last!”. Drives real smooth too. And I feel like I’m going faster than I am due to being lower to the ground

I can’t approach them straight on or fast. I gotta come in slow and diagonal to get that one wheel up so I won’t scrape. Had to make adjustments because in my truck I could just fly up to those from any angle

The body shop called me today and said good news, they can have the repair of my truck done by this fri and he said and that I had mentioned having Fridays off, so it will be convenient to come pick it up

And I was thinking to myself “FUUUUuuuck”. I said that sucks I was really liking this charger and thinking of just abandoning the truck…

I was talking to this black gal co-worker from the hood who I’ve gotten close with and she mentioned she had a 2008 charger back in the day. And she’s normally pretty feminine (but tough and scrappy). So I was like damn that’s kind of a muscle car though isn’t it? Was yours pretty fast? And she said “it didn’t have the hemi”. And I told her I know that an engine but it frustrates me that you probably know more about it than me…

And then I told this other gal about my new charger and when I said bye I said if you hear wheels peeling out in the parking lot, that’s just me in my 2022 Dodge Charger. And she called me a dork. Gonna miss that car

if you get addicted to going fast, i hear you can pickup seized drug dealer cars pretty cheap at police auctions and stuff lol

or just normal auctions for salvaged title cars that get written off from like hurricanes and other events turned into "Track day cars"

it's a hobby i want to get into next time i got money burning in my pocket cause i literally know a guy

had him do the automatic to manual conversion(literally had to install a third pedal and swap the transmission out) and other work on my Honda, i just need to show up with cash and be like hey build me a race car bro.
