Similarly, Druids can solo even faster, and can get groups ... but the Cleric will be much more in demand.

My point being, I really don't think Shaman shines as a class from 1-59. Cleric is (arguably) much stronger, with about Shaman solo-leveling speed, but better group desirability and healing ability. Likewise a Druid levels faster than either Cleric or Shaman, and is still somewhat wanted in groups.

IMHO the awesomeness of the Shaman class is really after you reach the top-end and get all the toys. Until then, I really don't think they're the best healing class.
Until the later levels well the healing ability falls off compared to Cleric, I would rather have a Shaman over a Cleric as the healer since they can regenerate their mana and also provide really good utility that the Cleric can't.

IIRC things really fall off by around the mid-40s in terms of healing viability as a main healer, but until then there's not a massive difference (I main healed groups with zero issue until then on a Druid for instance). So I'd rather have the Shaman.

Has anyone fed the code into an AI yet?

Re-implenting endurance alters everything. No one ever talks about it, even though the damn bar is right there in the interface long after it was aborted like a babysitter's fetus.

That's an unpleasant image but that is exactly what they did to the game. They got the babysitter pregnant when they removed endurance.

Hold it. Wait. That kind of doesn't work. If the analogy is right, they got the babysitter pregnant when they included endurance.

But that means endurance is likely a criminal and certainly civil offense?

I think I blew this one badly.

Endurance is something something, and a bit more. Set loose the artificial intelligences and let it spring forth from the albeit tiny coffin that holds it!

AI said "42" and don't worry about it. only way to get actual classic is actually using the Trilogy client and that project, EQC died like 5 years ago

i'll eat my hat if they make endurance actually do anything here.

TAKP has endurance working in some form, from examining the client.

It doesn't do much. Nobody has complained.

The penalty for being out is something weak like -20 str and -10 sta.

Trilogy is the promised land, just nobody cares enough to work on it / nobody actually wants to play classic eq anyway.
