The problem I find with voting is, I used to be a demorat because I hated bush/Regan style governance.

Then the democrats all became bush style governors, and so I'm stick with a victory AND a loss.

If we're going to live in a country that does not progress because we keep electing retards. We may as well shut down the fed and go back to the system as designed: small local governments

You cant find a single voter that is happy with who they vote for, everyone of them votes just to stop the other guy.

And we put them in FEDERAL control of the whole country?

It quite literally is the stupidest thing you could do with your free time, voting.

The only thing that fixes this is voting. Violence in the street guarantees all of us lose, and lose badly. Even secession in the US would fracture the global economy to the extent we would 100% have a world war. That would create famine in India, Pakistan, and Africa

You’re talking about 1 billion deaths even if nukes aren’t employed. If they are, all bets are off, and I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but global leadership isn’t exactly concerned about the lives of regularly people. Xi, Putin, Modi, and the ISI would use nukes.

In summary, while it is shitty that Mitch McConnell steals a court pick and that trump wins without actually winning the popular vote, those are the rules. Playing by the rules and assuming your country knows better is the only way any of this turns around without it becoming far worse
the forums millionaire wants me to support incrementalism.

you're fortunate i'm just one powerless psychopath and that my position is a minority. the famines, and possibly some nukes and world wars, are coming one way or the other. incremental change isn't doing anything to address that either. just look how well covid went in america.

According to the people that raised me we're past the point of no return for climate change anyway. So either my life is a lie or we're all gonna die.

The urge to die is strong.

Now Abbott is a moron blaming wind power for his refusal to expand capacity as Texas grows by half a million people a year (basic stuff)

Across our entire political spectrum, we have truly terrible politicians. Rick Perry was probably IQ 80, but he had common sense. It’s wild how things have changed
I think that right there is the tell: We're up against one big uniparty, in general - and they're all tied to the $$. The Green lobby is a massive, globalist force, so I am not surprised to see TX still propping up wind (no pun intended).

Though, I haven't done a deep-dive on the reasons behind the nonsensical wind push in TX, but one can surmise the reasons (see aforementioned global green lobby $$), , but you can actually thank Rick Perry for that.

It's also telling that the top two links (left-leaning) are broken, and not archived in the wayback machine-

Wind turbines are a terrible boondoggle in general, for many reasons, including but not limited to: intermittent generation, susceptible to extreme weather/cold, bird murder en masse (soaring, migratory birds), difficult and expensive recycling process for turbine blades and other parts, and big manufacturing CO2 footprint (if you buy into it being a "pollutant").
