And I'm still not playing. I went from being all "yay" about the fact that cheaters were being suspended to being all "oh" when it came to me not being able to play because there is a Norton bona fide "Trojan Horse" in the latest patch.

"But .dlls are fine, it's a false positive, etc."

Whatever dude. For those of us who work for a living and use our computers for more than game playing anytime ANY legitimate virus software calls something queer we have to pause no matter the circumstance.
I wouldn't ever call Norton a legitimate antivirus software. Norton blocks fresh out of the box programs from me all the time on my work computer and still lets viruses rape that system. Nearly every other Antivirus out there is better than Norton, even half the free ones.

Stop playing if you're scared of a Norton alert, or scan the files with any other legitimate antivirus and nothing will come up, and be happy that the mods are doing their jobs and catching those who cheat.

Also, I apologize for being foul. I just had to repair 12 computers that were "protected by norton" that were filled with spyware and adware and more than a few keyloggers. It's been a frustrating day.

Check out FatMagic's EQLite. It'll cut your P99 install down to 1.4gb

You must be in IT, lol. That's a $$ day for me. I love Norton and McAfee.

Man, if only I were a consultant where I work now instead of an employee... we run Symantec Endpoint Protection. Endless issues, false positives by the minute, slow performance. It's heaven for someone who gets paid by the job.

Hmm we run SEP as well on over 100 stations... we never have false positives or issues in general. Actually deployed it over a year ago and it's been nothing but dependable and easy to administrate... odd.

Yay suspensions, and hip-hip-hooray to the stripping of all coin! too cool.
I think that posting all the names is kind of silly, 365 accounts multiplied by how many characters on each account, that's just crazy talk, I don't think Rogean wants to type out two-thousand(my estimate) names on here.

Strip them naked, port them to a high level zone, make them all pvp, send in 100 non cheater players fully equipped and make them temporally pvp, let us hunt them like in the most dangerous game, the last cheater alive gets his/her plat and levels back.

Or something.

Let's turn this into something entertaining.
