Under normal circumstances maybe, but airports in Europe now are all sorts of fucked. Schiphol in Amsterdam has been overwhelmed all summer. Canceling flights, 2 hour security lines, etc. apparently laying off a bunch of staff during covid was a bad idea.

I thought I’d be smart and take the train from Paris to Amsterdam and it wasn’t much better. 1.5 hours delayed, and then ended up getting in so late that I missed the last train and had to cab home.

So it ain’t all sunshine and tulips. But the pros of living in a country where everyone has health care are very evident. Less fatties too.
Rick Perry had done all the ground work for high speed rail between Dallas and Houston. Dallas and Houston have the busiest passenger flight routes in the US. Southwest Airlines greatly upped their donations to Greg Abbott’s campaigned and all of a sudden the rail project took a nose dive

Texas has 22 million people living in and around Houston, SA, Austin, and Dallas. With any amount of will, these cities could be connected like what you have in Europe. I’m sorry that the system isn’t working over there right now, but we can’t even get track put down because of morons on both sides like Greg Abbott and Gavin newsom, who has botched California’s rail project

If there's one thing I've learned from the brain trust here is that the job of the US President is to set gas prices on a daily basis.

Gas prices dropping daily for the last month or so. Getting down toward George W. Bush levels when adjusted for inflation.

If Joe Biden is 100% responsible for prices when they're high, it only makes sense he gets 100% of the credit for the price decreases too? Right?

Let's hear it, Trumptards. Score one for Brandon?

I mean the idea that I would be on chinas side is insane do you even read a single post ive ever made here?

But beware, god will hold you partially accountable for every dead body in ukraine because that war is all part of the beast and his mark. I hope you abandon it before you lose that righteousness I know you have.

My dad was bitching about this the other day when I was down for a visit.

I'd like to see someone push that crippled piece of shit Abbott into traffic.

Fact: Gas has dropped in price daily for the last month. Trumptard Fact: The price of gas is 100% the responsibility of the President. Therefore... See, you're supposed to follow the logic here. If you had any.

Also, Joe Biden is not selling strategic oil reserves to China. He's selling strategic oil reserves to alleviate shortages. Period. China and other Asian countries won some of it by being the highest bidders. That's how the system works no matter who is President you fucking imbecile.

Sorry you're poor enough that the price of gasoline matters. I was hoping for $12.00 so my 100 mile commute twice per week had less traffic.

Oh yeah I totally agree. Trains are fucking great. Especially the long distance city connecting high speed ones. Assuming they’re on time you can show up 5 minutes before and hop right on. Way more comfortable experience than flying. Much more space. The Paris/Amsterdam route had a lounge/bar area. And don’t even get me started on Japanese Shinkansens.
