Higher education is just licensing and gatekeeping. Even agricultural degrees. They don't teach anything practical outside of the experimental physics facilities that the privileged go to.

99% of the doctors and lawyers they certify are absolutely dogshit as well.

I'm all for teaching, mastery, and skill, and scientific exploration but ya'll are being scammed. And oppressed.

Higher education is about networking and nothing else.

If you go to harvard or a good business school, it's obvious to you who to ask for 10 million dollars from investors.

If you go to a art school it's obvious to you who to ask to obtain a job at ILM

If you go to a school that has a college football program, it's obvious to you how to get recruited into the NFL (but everyone else there will be unemployed poly sci majors because the sports program is sucking up all the money the school has to offer its different departments)

There is nothing compulsory about higher education, if you dont want one go work in HVAC where the money is.

The athletes are not used to recruit other students?? Who wants to join a losing team?? You recruit with the offer of "you could be playing with tebow" or whatever it may be. To say that an athlete should not be paid because they were paid with a scholarship, what about all the other scholarships? Academic, music, or sports, if the college is making money off the student, the student should see a piece of it. Not millions of dollars. Nobody has ever said millions of dollars.

There is a number between zero and ALL OF IT.

College is free in texas. Should the athletes used to make money for the colleges through the games, sales, merchandise be paid?? The college was free, already.

I agree, if the college is making money off their name, likeness, or actions. Like if some kid invents a new bed for pregnant people to give birth in or some shit. College claims it under its research dept, makes millions selling this product. Should the inventor get a piece even though they used the college facilities, budget, and materials??

If I was selling jerseys with your name on the back of it, you'd want a piece. If I was selling action figures of you, you'd want a piece of it. Posters of you, you'd want a piece. If I was using you to get chevy or someone to sponsor an event featuring you, you should get some of the proceeds.

I dont care if its concert tickets for the school band. Bakes sales selling products made by the students. If they turn a profit, the students should see some of it.

Like how have they not paid for their scholarship and then some 2 years into an outstanding college football career?? They made that school millions with sales at the games, merchandise, and recruited more athletes to keep the cycle going off that kids name and deeds. You always sell more beer when you're winning.
