What happened was the GOP and its supporters decided they were comfortable saying the quiet part loud on every social issue due to their utmost belief in a 2-term (or permanent dictatorship) presidency under Trump.

Now that they've lost the big one, they're left on top of their pile of shit morals. Morals that will never gain them anything, only lose their moderates.

Those right-leaning moderates are now fair game - which is why Pelosi is in Taiwan
