we've got too many people in the USA for a post-modern unchecked capitalist economy.

we need to cut at least 25% off the top, and probably 40% overall.

mass immigration will take care of any labor. labor costs are actually at record lows already. as far as the corporations, there are plenty of brains on the market that can't find a job. 25-40% no problem.

its possible Rockerfeller was right and we've been overpopulated.

Yikes. the facts speak for themselves. This is a legitimate issue, but the people dont realize open borders doesn't do anything except satisfy impoverished low-skill labor demand like wiping buttholes and cleaning up poop from the toilet at the gas station. yay migration.

High population is intrinsically linked to low salaries.

Salaries are finally hitting record lows after the last financial crash of 2008, (previously, salaries were riding all-time highs from about 1998 onward) It took a crash to get the proper adjustment to the POPULATION-SALARY relationship. And this dude wants to talk about what food he is stocking in his bunker. LMAO

Welp wrong again fats. let that soak in

It's all about open information and affordable computers for everyone. Then all we need is basic income and most people will thrive being able to devout their time to the pursuits and interests they are passionate about.

Rather than a large increase in the money allotted everyone -- I want a large increase in free time. Time is your most valuable resource and a lot the best time you have is being spent to keeping yourself sustained. If people had more time and were provided with the basics -- they could be far more productive and ambitious in every other area of their life.

The age of machines is on the horizon. Do we want a bunch more bullshit bureaucratic jobs to dominate everyone's day? Or maybe we should all just "work" (see our time for money) a little less.

Good luck. Article hits the nail on the head. America is all about death and suffering worship. Worship of labour. Sado-masochist fantasy of the "romance of labour".

Worship of working hard. Cool... sounds good. A culture of hard workers...hmmm but wait, is anyone actually working hard?? *Checks unemployment*, *checks lack of interest by millennials at current corporate culture and general complaints by management of how disinterested millennials become after 8 months on the job*

Hmmmmmm hmmmmmmmm interesting fats.... so the culture is abusive towards themselves, and doesn't actually have very many so-called "hard workers" to show for it?

Is it because these hard-work worshippers are actually just low-skilled degenerates in disguise? Is the American work week simply a result of tyranny by majority-degenerate vote? Why abuse people for not working hard if you aren't actually working hard or have any success to show for yourself? Interesting, fats. Very interesting culture.

Keep watching your opioid shows like The Bachelor maybe something will change for your childrens children.

Kellogg said in 1920 we would and should have a 30 hour week. What happened fats, did you watch too much Breaking Bad or Better Test Saul (for HIV)

you just elected your VERY first populist candidate in 2017? cringe. so another 100 years before we get the ideas that Kellogg drafted 100 years ago along with about 100 other doctors of economics from the turn of the century.

strife is requisite to happiness for most (all?) men. deny man hardship and you deny him purpose.

i like the idea of giving people the time to do as they like, so long as they are thoroughly restrained from behaving to the detriment of humanity. selective trait propagation must necessarily accompany any pursuit of social/economic equality. our goal ought be the survival and betterment of humankind. sadly, many (most?) individuals are utterly useless if not detrimental to that endeavor.

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."

oppression connotes some form of injustice and while what i said most certainly is unjust to the individual, it is just the opposite to the people. the fact that it is plainly a denial of liberty does not make it any less rational or any less responsible, nor is it rendered unethical or immoral on those grounds. to the contrary, the greatest injustices are perpetrated upon our descendants when we fail to secure them a lasting position in this universe or afford them the stability of competency.
