Bit of a mouthful though (that's what she proclaimed)

I admit that Net Neutrality has challenged my free market worldview.

I actually am prone to believing internet should be classed as a utility.

It's relatively new technology and still an environment that we don't exactly know to do with or handle.

Some have even proposed an "internet bill of rights" and even Democrats coming into the House promise to regulate Silicon Valley

I'd be interested in seeing that happen.
Agreed on the utility aspect. A household without internet access is way behind, but a business basically can't exist in today's world without it.

this is what I think of the internet:

its a flaming garbage pile, made up of fake news, bad opinions, bad behavior, sad depressed individuals talking to other sand depressed individuals, time wasting TV emotion bandaids.

There is no value to the internet that net neutrality ever protected.

Honestly, everyone should just turn the fuckn thing off and go back to the yellow pages.

Sorry I dont care about this thing anymore, there's perfectly infinate number of proticols you can start a new internet with if you dont like this one.

Also all it is is jimmy kimmil clips and fake videos people make for clout

really important that we keep it up and afordable right?? RIGHT??

sorry, hard pass.

The irony is if it wasn't for infrastructure regulation, google would have set us up with fiber in every part of the country by now.

oh well.

FYI it is illegal to provide telecom's service with a weather balloon in america or any other conduit that isnt rated to last over 20 years.

let that sink in.

fyi google thinks that is the most efficient way of delivering high speed connectivity, because they can replace the balloons with better technology rapidly and cheaply. They were able to connect Puerto Rico the day after the storm. Yet we cannot use it for internet connectivity because of infrastructure regulation.

Thanks socialism! Same socialism liberals love to remind us that is the roads, and trash, and police and street lights and highways and bridges and water.

Well news for you, that same regulation you use to tout the values of socialism is the same reason we haven't rebuilt any of that crumbling infrastructure, or provided a better internet, the costs are extremely high thanks to 1930's infrastructure regulation (the socialist age of america)

I agree that there is a lot of that, but I also think ISPs like Comcast and Frontier are somewhat of a cartel.

They buy politicians and support.

I'm sure they were also responsible for keeping out Google.

Corruption kills competition and commerce as much as regulations can.
