When I got to the part about the stat debuff lines + how crazy mob stats are, I remembered that I felt like stat debuffs made a noticable difference back on live so I took you up on your advice to check out the stats of sebilite protector.

Ok. So he has 300 for all of his stats. But enchanters can stack asphixiate, cripple, and weakness for something like -175 str, -110 agi, -65 dex, and -30 AC. I don't know how that translates into the mob taking more melee damage and dealing less melee damage, but that debuffing hardly seems insignificant even in the face of the sick stat column that mob has.

I would HAVE to imagine that firing off those debuffs in a solo situation, when mana/time permits, would make a pretty big difference in how well a charmed pet would fare against whatever you're fighting.

my guess is that compared to landing slow, these debuffs are useless. also, on a lvl 60 mob, it might take 1-4 casts to land slow. trying to cast these other debuffs will take many tries/lots of mana as well as increase how much agro you have. when fighting a lower level mob you can for sure stun/mez/slow/mez/debuff/mez/memblur, then med up for a sec, charm a pet, n take that mob down easily without having to haste/weaponize your pet (which can spell doom on a charm break, esp if you are new to soloing high end stuff). thats just my guess though. you have to keep in mind how long the debuffs will last for when you plan to memblur/med, obviously

Well I was actually headed into seb early this morning hoping to get NG to get myself a black sapphire the old-fashioned way, but NG was taken. Gaffin let me into crypt (I managed to come to seb with an uncharged probe and an uncharged wand), I lulled my way down in there, and I started using baron PH (freglor was up) to kill hiero, duke, caretaker, and guardians.

I didn't end up seeing any hiero or duke nameds, but just as I was about to leave crypt for a group to take over, the crypt caretaker popped: http://postimg.org/image/nsco296ox/ ... he's just behind that pillar on the left.

I was low on mana and buffs and clickies, but meh, it's just a little feller! So I charmed pet up and engaged. Fired off a cheap slow to save mana incase I had a charm break: http://postimg.org/image/wk2fzgevb/

On a somewhat interesting note, I guess, while I didn't have any luck with good loot down in there, I did apparently have amazing luck with resists. I killed 6 (or 8? I can't remember) guardians with no slow resists, only two fetters broke early, and only a few stun were resisted. Those guys have always given me fits before, resisting multiple slows in a row and refusing to stay rooted, etc.



Maybe pasi being close to solo legend will finally motivate me to go kill the giants and hole mobs [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
