You don't get the entire silicon valley to join a cult, with parity.

Yeah well what about quantum computers? I was reading a science-minded magazine amongst a variety at the mechanics' (automotive not quantum) shop today and came across a pretty interesting article on quantum logic gates. Do any of you understand this concept and how it differs from electronic logic gates?
A company appears to even be selling 3-qubit personal quantum computers for only tens of thousands of dollars that you can buy right now and based on appearance it's about the size of a large desktop PC tower.

afaik the biggest difference is a logic gate can only be on or off, but a quantum bit can be on and off at the same time, so that allows for exponential multitasking or something as the technology gets better and better.
Those personal Quantum computers I was looking at a while back but are kind of like they're more for educational purposes, and like run quantum games or little logic exercises to play with on them like math blaster. I don't know of anyone using any of them to do anything unusual but would love to find out that there are folks doing that!

The article was so good and written at that sweet spot between a wired audience and an academic paper that I'm gonna see if I can't stop by again and get a copy of it this weekend. And I'll share it with you guys. The second video has some overlap but I don't yet understand this technology as far as I can demonstrate. I'm just as much an inexperienced noob as I imagine you all are in this regard.

Maybe then they will be sufficiently advanced to come up with a name for what's wrong with you.

Oh im sure if they opened a portal to hell, you'd side with the demons.

It's not hard to bat a thousand when the game takes place inside your head. But I don't engage with you for your objectivity.
