Mankind hasn't started to shift towards a different way of thinking, it's always been this way. The more generations between an event and present day, the more people are desensitized to it. If you're going to try and say that desensitization is the culprit behind this, and describing how people like myself have separated ourselves from the crimes of past generations, then learn what desensitization is. Have you been repeatedly exposed to people being slaughtered due to their religious beliefs? Do you live in some southern state that still treats african-americans like indentured servants? Are you having some image of a master human race being shoved down your throat? I seriously doubt you in your lifetime have seen so much of these events that you've become desensitized to it.

We are still sensitive to what they did, but we are also not in any way responsible for what they did. Similarly we are not responsible for past generations who participated in the slave trade. Psychological separation from things that hold us back from moving on as humans is essential to civilization to move forward. Things like holding onto events like the Holocaust, the slave trade, crucifying christ, etc...only hold back human civilization. If you can look at it and understand what happened, learn why it was wrong and move on while keeping with that understanding...then you've made progress.

You thought you were a "forward thinker", I told you why you absolutely weren't, and why what you perceived as forward thinking has been around forever and been the norm forever. If this is about your dumb guild tag, I don't care, I personally don't care about any words. However, the holocaust was only 70 years ago, some people's grandparents are survivors, some people look back on their family history and see most of it wiped clean. I don't give a shit, you don't give a shit, but to say they don't deserve to care because they didn't directly experience it is retarded.

Like I said before tho, this is how it goes, it's been nearly 4 generations since the holocaust and that's why we're at this point. Within our lifetimes it won't even be a question whether or not the tag holocaust will be allowed. No one will give a shit.
