How could it be any different, can one "take" love, rapaciously and receive their fill? Or does it only further exacerbate the lack of love within one's self. Consider the abusive husband demanding the love of their spouse by giving fear? Does he receive love? Or does he receive fear? Further exacerbating his latent fears of abandonment and expanding his insecurities until that fateful day where he chokes the life out of his spouse to eternally quell his fear of abandonment. Indeed, she will never leave him, but then again she already has.
