![]() So Matt Walsh apparently thinks men shouldn’t cry. Like at all ever
I’ll tell him the same thing I tell all clients at work. If you try to bottle all your negative emotions your entire life, they will eventually come out, either all at once (at a very inopportune time, usually), or a more insidious way through some self-destructive behavior It’s ok to let them out a little, ideally NOT in public whether you are a man or woman simply because it will add embarrassment and awkwardness to that emotion, for most people It’s also not a good idea to wallow in them. It’s like a water faucet. You turn on the faucet every once in a while a little bit, and then after put on a strong face and go do what you have to do. A tough manly man who never turned the faucet on their entire life, might just be a guy who blows his brains at out at age 53 in front of his kids. Or drinks himself to death Also, Jordan Peterson cries a lot… https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=

Oh and in regard to the crying part will only hurt you with women, that’s pretty debatable. Women are natural nurturers with a greater sense for empathy, we’ll start with that. Then consider how you might feel if a friend came up to you in tears and you comforted them. Would you think “wow, what a pussy, wasting my time like this” or would you be happy you comforted your friend? Helping others gives us a good feeling about ourselves, and this includes emotionally helping others. This is why there is the saying there is no such thing as a selfless act Now if a guy cried to his wife all the time or a lot then sure, there might be some question of masculinity
